Well, I attempted to sell art prints at Marscon this year. While it was a fun convention, I have mixed feelings.

I didn't sell much and barely made my booth fee back (and only because I slashed princes in half today.) I also lost a lot of money stocking up on prints and closing the shop this weekend. I tried not to take it personally, there were three of us in the "artist's alley," and we all did poorly, I think because we were in the auction room, which didn't get much foot traffic. I didn't expect to make bank, but I thought I would do a LITTLE better than that. It was a little disappointing.

BUT, the other two artists were incredibly talented and I enjoyed talking with them. It's so great to talk art (and all the joys and frustrations that come with it), with other artists and people who know exactly what you're talking about. We shared some tips and tricks with each other as well. One of them was Mark Jackson, who's work I've been admiring in my White Wolf books for over fifteen years. I bought his original Anatole painting, so that was a plus.

There were some really kick ass costumes, and I met a lady who might be able to make my faun legs, which I'm pretty excited about.

I don't know if I'll do Marscon again next year, but if I do, I definitely don't want to be in the auction room.

Wow...Thanks for that feedback!
I would love to see your rendition of Wonder Woman. Harley Quinn is too much down your alley! ;)
Your WW will rock!
